Can I have more than one edition at the same time?

It depends and varies based on the intended combination of editions. You must have an Education Fundamentals edition to upgrade to any of the other editions (Education Standard, the Teaching and Learning Upgrade, or Education Plus). Education Plus cannot be combined with Education Standard or the Teaching and Learning Update – only Education Fundamentals are allowed. Education Standard and Teaching and Learning Upgrade can be combined.

Can I upgrade/downgrade between the editions?

All paid Google Workspace for Education editions are annual subscriptions, and pricing is locked for the duration of the subscription term. Customers can add Education Standard at any time (and vice versa) and to Education Plus. Customers can reevaluate continuing with their subscription or downgrade at the end of their subscription term.

Are discounts available and/or are there other incentives for longer-term commitments?

Yes, Google offers automatic discounts for customers who are contractually bound to a multi-year purchase (two years or more) of Google Workspace for Education Plus. To learn more, please contact a Google Workspace for Education partner reseller and/or a Google for Education representative.

When upgrading to a paid edition of Google Workspace for Education (Plus, Teaching & Learning Upgrade, and/or Standard), do I need to sign the New Workspace for Education Terms of Service agreement?

No, a new or additional Workspace for Education contract is not required.
